The full force of the global coronavirus pandemic has hit across the UK, and it continues to grip the world. The scale of the challenge to working lives, families and communities is unprecedented in recent times. As well as the immediate health and economic effects, the long-term impacts will be deep and long lasting.

In the midst of all this uncertainty one thing is for sure, unions have been at the fore front and heavily influenced the outcomes of all the challenges. There’s never been a more important time to be in the union and there’s never been a more important time for unions to step up to the plate and demonstrate their worth.
